MSMEs urged to invest in IT
Posted 07/28/10

Microsoft Philippines is conducting series of seminars aiming to urge micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to invest in information technology (IT).

In June this year Microsoft began the three-day Microsoft SME Tech Series wherein small firms were briefed on the latest economic and industry trends and the IT solutions that would address their needs.

First day of the session focused on manufacturing companies. The second day of briefing catered to food and retail firms, while the is held at the start of the program to set participants’ mood and stir their minds and hearts with stories of triumphs.

“Through this forum, we also get to impart actual business experiences, especially on how entrepreneurs were able to grow their businesses, their best practices, and strategies that worked for them. And these stories are able to maximize the knowledge that participants take away from the NegoSem,” said Go Negosyo Founding Trustee Joey Concepcion.

Last day session accommodated the players in the healthcare sector. “Our goal is to inform our SME customers how technology can help them achieve their business goals,” said Microsoft  Philippines Director for Small and Medium Solutions and Products Dette Nacario. (dateline/DTI)
